So far, in 2010, there have been 34 Line of Duty Deaths of firefighters in the United States.
There were 94 Line of Duty Deaths of firefighters in the United States in 2009.
There were 114 Line of Duty Deaths of firefighters in the United States in 2008.

House Numbering
Please help us be able to find your house in an emergency. Numbers should be approximately four (4) inches in height and be on the same side of the road as your house. If you would like to purchase numbers from the fire department, call Neal Franklin for information at 273-3831.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

The Danby Volunteer Fire Company, organized in 1946, is an all-volunteer company.

24 hours a day, seven days a week, we are on call to respond to emergencies in Danby and to provide mutual aid to surrounding towns.

Thank you for your continued support.

We can always use volunteers, from interior firefighters to fire police to support members to help at our fundraisers. If you are interested in volunteering, see the volunteer page or attend one of our monthly business meetings, held on the second Monday of each month at 7:30 at the station.
